I work mostly in Fairfax County, and have seen the market in Northern Virginia continue to improve steadily in recent years. I generally work with prospective buyers, and I am honored each time I can guide someone toward a solution that fits their unique needs, at the right cost, and in the best housing market in the United States.
While most of us consider fulfilling the American dream of homeownership, nobody likes to think that they may someday find themselves losing a home due to financial struggles or bankruptcy. Unfortunately for some of us that has become a reality.
When individuals find themselves in such circumstances, they often think – mistakenly –that they have lost the chance to become a homeowner again. Two recent experiences with clients in similar situations are especially encouraging.
Just a few weeks ago, I worked with a woman who had lost her home three years ago. She thought that she wouldn’t be able to buy again due to economic constraints. She was shocked to find that she qualified for a home in Fairfax and is now paying less than what her rent had previously been.
Similarly, I worked with a young couple that lost their home four years ago in a short sale. They too qualified for a loan and are currently in the process of purchasing and starting over. Both individuals have small children and are excited to move forward in a home that meets the needs of their growing families.
I am always eager to work through options with my clients, even when circumstances may prove challenging. That’s why there’s no better person to help you find your best housing solution than an NVAR Realtor®.
My clients are surprised to find that if they have a stable job they often qualify for a loan despite past financial hardships. The opportunity is there; people need to take advantage of it, especially with interest rates at an all-time low in NoVa, and still dropping.
The “Ask Me!” campaign exists to put consumers – especially those who are unsure of their options – in touch with a trained NVAR Realtorâ that knows the most up-to-date information about the market, knows how to identify the best time to buy or sell, and most importantly, knows the customers.
